The Canon PowerShot SD1100 Has A Superb Zoom
I have been using my Canon PowerShot SD1100 for about two years now. I got it online through a points reward system that my mom’s workplace offers so it was actually free. However, believe me when I say that the performance of this camera is anything but cheap.
The shots taken are amazingly high quality and the resolution is fantastic. The menus on the camera are easily navigational without any reason to crack open the instruction manual. It is very easy to use for those with little or no experience in photography.
The indoor and outdoor shots are equally good. The only downside is that sometimes the camera has a hard time figuring out when or not to use the flash.
For instance, the lighting will be fine but when you snap the shot, the flash goes off creating a huge glare in your photo. Then you have to erase that one, turn off the flash, and resume taking that picture again. This can create a big hassle especially if that particular shot is a moving one or an instance where the result can’t be duplicated.
The best feature of the Canon PowerShot SD1100 digital camera I think is the zoom. I remember riding in a van in Vietnam and taking a picture through the window, while it was raining, of three boulders balancing on top of a mountain miles and miles away.
I could hardly believe I was able to get such a good picture. It looked good on the camera screen but I was skeptical about how it would look as a print. I was happily surprised when I saw the full size photo. It was amazing quality and there was no grain even after all the zooming I did.
I am delighted to be able to admire such a marvel whenever I want now thanks to this camera. Whether it is outdoors or in, the Canon PowerShot SD1100 is a great camera that I am still using to this day. I highly recommend it.
