Flower Just Awakening

Flower Just Awakening

It was my first morning in the foothills of the mighty Himalayas. I woke up early that day to get some shots of the shining orange peaks of the Himalayas. But before I could step out of my guest house these amazing red colored flowers caught my eye. I immediately got down on the frosted grass and opened my macro lens to say hello to the flower.

The result is what you are looking at. I liked the hairy stem of the plant. To capture it well I got on the other side of the sun to get a correct exposure. I then composed the shot with my Canon EOS 400D and pushed the shutter. It was more than a picture taking experience. Hope you all will like the picture and thanks for this great website. This is my first post here. I enjoyed the site very much.

Warm Regards
Shaleen Mohan.

It's a pity the flower wasn't open
by: Mark McKnight

You got a really good shot of the stem of the flower. The hairs are really clear and the colours are good. Did you use a tripod? How do you find the Canon 400d. I use this camera as well and I have written a review about it. Canon 400d Review
