Canon PowerShot SD990IS

I am using my current digital camera i.e. Canon Powershot SD990IS from past 2 years. Prior to this I owned a Sony. I bought our camera online from Amazon.com. Before purchasing I had read online reviews for the camera and all were satisfactory. I am not an expert or professional photographer hence was looking for some camera that was easy to operate, light weight and has all the basic features that are available in most of the other cameras.

The camera has a very stylish metallic black color finish. The camera is reasonably priced. The battery is long-lasting. I use it with a 4 GB SD card that holds a lot of photos. It has 3.7 optical zoom and supports 14.7 mega pixels images.

It is good for taking outdoor shots as well as indoor shots. The outdoor images that are captures with this point and click camera have excellent clarity and are comparable to any other high-end cameras. It has various other scenic options such as night mode, sunset mode, running mode etc. which also produce excellent pictures. The camera has rotating wheel for navigating through various options. This is very smooth to operate. It has the ability to record videos with facility of zooming in an out while recording. It has an inbuilt microphone which captures the sound while recording. Hence the videos are much more enjoyable to watch along with the sound.

The camera has an option to embed the date and time in the image when the same was taken. The camera comes with a CD that has the software drivers to install and connect to the computer for downloading, deleting the images.

We haven’t any issues with our Canon Powershot SD990IS digital camera in the last 2 years. It has been running smooth and is being recommended by us to all. This is a value for money camera.
