This shot was taken on 18 December 2009, just a few days after I had bought my first SLR camera, a Nikon D5000. I was out on a photography tour with a friend of mine because I wanted to try out the camera and find out how it works. Since it got colder and colder we decided to head over to this lake at about 3pm.

The lighting was quite okay, as if the sun was about to set, and I was sure to get some good pictures out of it. I tried to avoid any automatic modes, so I was quite happy with the result of this one.
