Sony Cybershot DSC-T300

by Simone
(Brisbane, Queensland, Australia)

The Sony Cybershot DSC-T300 is a small compact camera great for fitting in bags or pockets. I purchased this camera principally because of size and also because of the 5x optical zoom. It also has digital zoom but I find that optical gives the better quality, so I'm partial to cameras which have a higher optical zoom. The newer model of this camera has a lower optical zoom.

The Sony Cybershot DSC-T300 is a great camera for the newbie camera person. Easy to use. Good in most locations and situations. Day or night, the settings when on auto will work quite well. The ability to record movies on it is terrific with the quality and sound being very good for a digital camera.

I think the only problem with this camera is the delay between pressing the button and the actual picture being taken. However, I have come across this with other models and brands of digital cameras as well.

This camera was purchased in 2008 to replace the previous model that stopped working after being dropped on concrete. I'm still using this camera two years later and would have no reservations about buying the same model again if it were still available.

The purchase was made online and shipped internationally. You have to love the internet and what it has done for shopping. All in all I'm quite captured with the Sony Cybershot DSC-T300 and the Sony brand and would continue to recommend it to others.
