Magical Autumn

by Kevin Koo
(Floral Park, New York)

Magical Autumn

Magical Autumn

This picture was taken by my Nikon D40x with a 35mm 1.8 lens. I took this picture in late October of 2009. At first, I was doing a private shoot with a friend of mine. While I was adjusting the setting of my camera, a beam of warm light shined above as if it was calling me.

Attracted by this warm beam of light, I aimed my camera at the light and seal the magical moment. And the image is shown by the picture with a magical flower at the lower center of the picture. I didn't notice the flower until I looked at it on my computer ( no photoshop for the picture).

What made this flower so magical is the right color on the right place. The leaf is green and the flower is a mix of red, orange, and yellow. At the center of the flower, it looks like the heart of a fire, symbolize the life of the flower and the autumn season.

Hope you guys enjoy the picture!
